New Mythologies and the Evolution of Flyboy

This first monograph explores the expansive universe of Hebru Brantley, an artist redefining the depiction of Black youth through the lens of Afrofuturism and contemporary pop. Moving seamlessly between the high-art gallery and the pulse of global street culture, Brantleys work establishes a definitive visual mythology centered on innocence, power, and the iconic Flyboy. The volume provides an essential look at a creative force whose influence spans from fine art and sculpture to sought-after streetwear collaborations.
